Community interpreting
Typical community interpreting assignments include running errands and dealing with public services, visiting a doctor, events in the workplace, family occasions, hobbies as well as occasional short courses and camps. Interpreting is usually booked either by the authorities or by customers themselves, if they are legally entitled to the service. Interpreting services are also available to other organisations and individuals.
Educational interpreting
Educational interpreting takes place at educational institutions, where a Deaf, deafened or hard of hearing student is studying. We normally arrange educational interpreting by providing two co-working interpreters. From secondary level on, educational interpreting is financed by The Social Insurance Institution of Finland. Interpreting in compulsory school is financed by municipalities.
Speech-to-text interpreting
Both community and educational interpreting can also be provided as speech-to-text interpreting. Our interpreters arrange the required equipment and type the spoken message on a computer screen or project it to a screen on a wall.
