Training and Consulting
Many of our team are experienced trainers in the interpreting field. We offer training for interpreting in a number of settings, including team interpreting, conference interpreting, interpreting in language classes.
Via also offers consultation and lectures concerning Finnish sign language and interpreting, as well as business consultation concerning cooperatives.
Skills assessment
As part of its own quality assurance, Via has created an assessment tool for sign language interpreters with a focus on interpreting skills (sign to voice & voice to sign). The tool includes a numeric scale (1-5) with written descriptions of specific skills at each level. Interpreters record samples of their work and receive detailed written feedback with a marking (1-5).
Our skills assessment tool can also be tailored for other companies’ use in the interpreting field.
Coordinating
Coordinating ensures smooth interpreting services at bigger events. Via is experienced in coordinating interpreting services at both domestic and international events.
